Job Overview:
The Clinical Patient Safety Manager plays a vital role in fostering a culture of safety within a healthcare facility. Reporting to the Director of Risk Management, this position involves creating and maintaining systems to improve patient safety. The manager will analyze patient safety data, develop and execute initiatives to prevent errors, and train staff to ensure adherence to safety protocols. They are also responsible for investigating incidents, ensuring compliance with regulations, and implementing measures to reduce risks to patients.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Monitor and evaluate patient safety data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
2. Develop and lead safety training programs to educate staff on best practices.
3. Investigate patient safety incidents and recommend corrective actions.
4. Collaborate with leadership to create and sustain a culture of safety and accountability.
5. Design and implement strategies to reduce healthcare-related errors and adverse outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field.
2. Active California Fire and Life Safety Card (within 30 days of hire).
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in an acute care hospital setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Master’s degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field.
2. Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) certification.
3. At least 2 years of patient safety-specific experience.
