VCU Health is seeking a Laboratory Support Associate to assist clinical and reference laboratories by handling specimens, resolving order issues, and answering test result inquiries. The role includes pre-analytical processing, accessioning, and data entry in the Laboratory Computer System.

On-site responsibilities may involve preparing coolers, delivering specimens, maintaining equipment, and supporting inventory and billing tasks.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of post high school education in a Health Science field preferred.
• Previous experience in a clinical or reference laboratory.
• Experience with data entry on a computer.

Responsabilidades

• Receive and deliver specimens and reports.
• Prepare coolers and maintain equipment where applicable.
• Register and accession patient material; verify specimen data.
• Perform pre-analytical processing and basic lab tasks.
• Maintain workload records and quality control.
