Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training or eligible for BOC certification
• BOC certification and Virginia licensure required; provisional authorization pathway may apply
• Valid driver’s license for travel to satellite locations
• Provisional authorization incumbents must obtain full licensure within 45 days
• Healthcare setting experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess athletes’ injuries and determine need for physician referral
• Create and manage care plans and interventions for impairments
• Coordinate athletic training services for tournaments, camps and events
• Supervise student athletic trainers
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
• Deliver community education on sports medicine topics
• Be available to coaches, school administration and leadership 24/7 via phone
