Job summary

PeaceHealth Springfield Rehabilitation Hospital, a brand-new inpatient rehabilitation facility opening in 2026, seeks a qualified data specialist to support IRF-PAI processes and CMS data collection. This role partners with the interdisciplinary team to ensure accurate documentation and timely submissions.

You will enter data into CMS-approved software, abstract required information from medical records, and maintain the IRF-PAI log.

Qualifications

• QI competency required
• Working knowledge of state and federal guidelines; familiarity with healthcare workflows and documentation required
• Basic computer and data entry proficiency required
• Strong clinical assessment/analysis, effective verbal and written communication, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to collaborate across disciplines

Responsibilities

• Coordinate PPD data collection with the interdisciplinary team.
• Ensure supportive documentation for QIs is complete in the medical record.
• Complete admission and discharge IRF-PAIs within CMS-designated timeframes.
• Abstract required information from medical records and summarize on the IRF-PAI.
• Enter data into the CMS-accepted software/program within designated timeframes.
• Maintain and update the IRF-PAI log; verify accuracy against the patient location roster.

What We're Looking For

• Clinical degree with current license to practice as an OT, PT, RN, SLP, or MSW
• QI competency required
• Working knowledge of state and federal guidelines; familiarity with healthcare workflows and documentation required
