Job summary

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in optometry from an accredited school/college
• Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work with diverse client group
• Thorough knowledge of optometry and eye diseases diagnosis

Responsibilities

• Provide routine and pediatric eye examinations and vision assessments
• Perform triage and screening for acute or unscheduled patients in ophthalmology
• Prescribe ophthalmic medications within scope of practice
• Maintain proper documentation of patient encounters and diagnostic notes
• Collaborate with care providers to communicate patient needs and ensure quality care
