Shift: Monday-Thursday 10am-7pm, Friday 9am-6pm.

The community you'll be caring for: AdventHealth Sports Medicine and Rehab Patients

The role you’ll contribute:

When you join our team of over 40 Outpatient Clinics across Central Florida, you will be part of a winning team of experts dedicated to whole-person care to help our patients heal, strengthen, and renew. We serve patients in Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Polk, Volusia, Flagler, and Lake Counties with a dedicated team of therapists, clinicians, and staff committed to AdventHealth’s mission in the communities we serve.

Assist in managing the clinical rehabilitation team (therapists, assistants, athletic trainers, technical aides, volunteers, and interns) with positive influence and by example while providing physical therapy in the outpatient rehabilitation setting. Conduct interviews, select clinical staff, provide coaching, and perform developmental evaluations. Engage in rounding with physicians and patients.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Interview, hire, and orient clinical staff, complete clinical competencies with new hires and annually. Approve continuing education requests. Coordinate in-services by staff and vendors. Serve as a mentor or assign mentors to new graduates. Promote evidence-based standards of care and lifelong learning through research, journal clubs, teaching, and mentoring.
• Assist in daily operations including clinical and service rounding, develop and deliver clinical content at staff meetings. Conduct staff meetings, complete management reports. Investigate, respond to, and resolve complaints. Be a clinical resource for physicians, patients, and staff. Escalate issues as needed.
• Design and implement treatment plans based on standards, modalities, insurance guidelines, and patient needs. Monitor response and modify as needed. Support quality standards, follow clinical practice guidelines (APTA), and perform chart audits. Educate and coach the clinical team on documentation compliance.
• Participate in marketing efforts to build referral relationships, support community outreach, educational lectures, and other community engagement activities.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• Two or more years of licensed physical therapy experience in Orthopedics, Lymphedema, or Pelvic health.
• Current valid Florida Physical Therapist license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Previous management or supervisory experience - PREFERRED.
