Job summary

The University of Chicago is seeking an Operations Manager to provide comprehensive administrative and business support for the Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism section. You will partner with faculty, providers, and leadership to ensure compliant, efficient operations and robust scheduling processes.

Responsibilities include coordinating meetings, travel, and events; maintaining databases; onboarding new staff; and resolving routine administrative issues, while protecting confidentiality

Qualifications

• College or university degree required.
• 2–5 years of related work experience.
• Experience with EPIC EMR and QGenda preferred.
• Experience with financial and administrative systems such as eLedgers, GEMS, Buysite, and ePayments.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administration, evaluations, and staff/faculty processes.
• Coordinate meetings, travel, events, and complex appointments.
• Ensure compliance with policies and guidelines across offices.
• Oversee provider scheduling and onboarding for new faculty and staff.
• Maintain operational databases supporting clinical and sectional functions.
• Provide administrative support to leadership and a large group of providers.
