Job summary

Bayside Marin Treatment Center is seeking an experienced Assistant Clinical Director to lead the clinical team and oversee operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and patient-centered care. The role emphasizes staff development, program quality, and collaboration across departments.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree in Social Work or related field and at least five years in behavioral health, including supervision and utilization management experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling or psychiatric nursing required.
• Five or more years’ experience in behavioral health services with clinical experience with all target populations (SMI, SED, DD, SUD) required.
• Three or more years’ supervision experience required.
• Management or administration experience and/or three years work experience in Utilization Management required.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and support to all clinical operations in areas assigned.
• Provide oversight and monitor clinical services as it relates to service provision, treatment and access.
• Review and analyze clinical and operational performance results. Develop plans for improvement as needed.
• Provide staff management including hiring, development, training, performance management and communication to ensure effective and efficient department operation.
• Develop and implement behavioral health processes, procedures and policies across programs.
• Participate in daily, weekly, monthly and annual planning and reporting processes as appropriate.
• Represent the company at meetings in the community.
• Collaborate with other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative work environment.
• Support compliance by adherence to accreditation standards as well as standards of funding agencies and licensing boards.
• Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always.
