Samaritan Daytop Village in New York, NY, seeks an Assistant Program Director to supervise multidisciplinary clinical staff and manage day-to-day operations of the treatment program.

The role reports to the Program Director, provides on-call coverage, coordinates clinical services, and ensures compliance with HIPAA and 42 CFR. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential for success in this fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or other Human Services field with 3–5 years in substance use and/or mental health treatment and 1–2 years administrative/supervisory experience.
• OASAS CASAC Advanced Counselor if not a NYSED QHP.
• OASAS Clinical Supervision Foundations I & II (30 hours) to be completed within one year of hire.
• Alternate: NYSED QHP licensure (LMSW/LMHC/LCSW) with 3–5 years in relevant field and 1–2 years supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Acts as administrative backup to the Program Director for smooth day-to-day clinic operations.
• Coordinates and implements clinical services for the multidisciplinary treatment team.
• Monitors policies, procedures, and systems for effective program delivery.
• Provides regular clinical and administrative supervision to staff.
• Documents supervisory sessions with staff.
• Assists with interviews, hires, training, appraisals, and discipline as needed.
• Plans staff training to maintain competency and ensure compliance with agency policies.
• Maintains accurate patient treatment records in line with regulatory and internal requirements.
• Ensures staff uphold Code of Conduct and HIPAA confidentiality and privacy standards.
• Keeps abreast of federal/state regulations governing treatment.
