Job summary

ENT Specialty Partners in Rockville, MD seeks a Clinic Supervisor to lead daily clinical operations and supervise Medical Assistants and other support staff on-site. The role ensures smooth patient flow, accurate EMR documentation, and adherence to safety standards, while partnering with leadership on staffing and development.

The position emphasizes recruitment coordination, performance reviews, and ongoing staff development to maintain high-quality patient care in a dynamic clinical setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of clinical experience with supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Nurse required.
• Strong knowledge of clinical workflows, back-office operations, and patient care standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day clinical workflows to ensure efficiency and continuity of care.
• Oversee exam room readiness, inventory management, and clinical supply ordering.
• Coordinate with providers to ensure appropriate staffing and support for scheduled patients.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation within the EMR.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, infection control, OSHA, and other clinical safety protocols.
• Support high standards of patient care and service delivery across clinical support roles.
• Supervise clinical support staff including Medical Assistants and other assigned team members.
• Manage scheduling, timecard approvals, and daily staff assignments.
• Conduct regular performance check-ins and annual performance reviews.
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and corrective feedback to team members as needed.
• Identify training needs and coordinate onboarding and skill development for clinical staff.
• Partner with the Practice Manager or Administrator to align on clinic goals and staffing strategies.
• Support clinical compliance initiatives and assist with policy or workflow implementation.
• Participate in team huddles and clinic meetings to communicate updates and expectations.
• Escalate concerns or operational challenges to the practice leader as appropriate.
• Coordinate interviews and shadowing for clinical support candidates.
• Participate in hiring decisions and provide input on compensation recommendations.
• Support a positive team culture that promotes collaboration, growth, and accountability.
