Job Description

The Principal Clinical Program Pharmacist is responsible for implementing the strategy and developing clinical product(s). This role involves keeping the product(s) competitive by understanding market problems, executing the product roadmap, and maintaining clinical criteria. It requires routine interaction with leadership regarding the product strategy and collaboration with other departments to ensure strategy execution. The Board-Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) will provide subject matter expertise and direction for Prime’s Oncology Medical Specialty programs, supporting the development and maintenance of programs that drive Prime’s oncology business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise in Oncology to improve programs (90%)
• Develop and manage complex clinical product initiatives including clinical criteria (20%)
• Analyze market information, clinical guidelines, and member claims data to support product management initiatives (20%)
• Coordinate, launch, and implement new products, enhancements, and process improvements (10%)
• Represent the Clinical department during customer requirement sessions (10%)
• Oversee regulatory compliance (URAC/NCQA, CMS, state law) and represent the department externally (10%)
• Validate clinical product information and participate in user acceptance testing (10%)
• Establish cross-functional partnerships to drive informed decisions (10%)
• Collaborate with client partners as needed (5%)
• Perform other duties as assigned (10%)

Education & Experience

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
• Current pharmacist license in good standing
• At least 3 years of clinical oncology pharmacy experience
• Eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship
• BCOP certification

• PGY1 pharmacy residency preferred

Salary range: $124,000 - $211,000 based on experience and skills.
