Job Description

The Principal Clinical Program Pharmacist is responsible for implementing the strategy and developing clinical product(s). This role involves maintaining product competitiveness by understanding market problems, executing the product roadmap, and ensuring clinical criteria are met. The position requires regular interaction with leadership regarding strategy and collaboration with other departments to ensure successful execution. The Board-Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) will provide expertise and direction for Prime’s Oncology Medical Specialty programs, including program development and maintenance to support oncology business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise in Oncology to enhance programs (90%)
• Develop and manage complex clinical product initiatives including clinical criteria (20%)
• Analyze market information, clinical guidelines, and claims data to support product strategies (20%)
• Coordinate and implement new products, enhancements, and process improvements (10%)
• Represent Clinical department during customer requirement sessions (10%)
• Oversee regulatory compliance and represent the department externally (10%)
• Validate clinical product information and perform user acceptance testing (10%)
• Establish cross-functional partnerships to drive decisions and initiatives (10%)
• Collaborate with client partners as needed (5%)
• Perform other duties as assigned (10%)

Education & Experience

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
• Current pharmacist license in good standing
• At least 3 years of clinical oncology pharmacy experience
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• BCOP certification

• Experience as a PGY1 Managed Care Residency preceptor
• Significant clinical oncology knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

• Cross-departmental collaboration experience
• Exposure to Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM)
• PGY1 residency experience preferred

Salary range: $124,000 - $211,000 based on experience.
