Job summary

Banner Health in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Registered Dietitian Lead to oversee clinical nutrition services in the Culinary & Nutrition-Hosp department. The role combines direct patient nutrition care with team training and education, collaborating with medical providers, nursing, therapy, and the on-site culinary staff.

You will perform comprehensive nutrition assessments, develop care plans, monitor outcomes, provide counseling, and contribute to Nutrition Standards of Practice and education

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or Dietetics; RD or RDN per CDR.
• Master’s degree required to sit for the RD exam (as of 2024).
• Current state licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical nutrition with responsibility for patient nutrition assessments.
• Develop care plans and monitor outcomes.
• Provide nutrition education to patients, families, and staff.
• Coordinate training for clinical nutrition staff.
• Collaborate with medical providers, nursing, therapy and the culinary team.
• Support CQI activities and program quality improvement.
