Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold a current and valid state RN license.
• BSN degree preferred.
• BLS certification required on hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification required on hire and maintained.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support administrative responsibility for the department service functions and work collaboratively with the unit Director and/or Manager.
• Develop and implement departmental plans, including performance improvement activities and compliance with current regulations.
• Oversee orientation and training of personnel and communicate with staff, physicians, and administration.
• Direct, supervise, and evaluate staff during their shift to ensure efficient department operation and quality patient care.
• Perform direct patient care within the scope of practice as needed and assess care plans for timely changes.
