Job summary

Concordia Community Support Services is seeking a Clinical Nursing Instructor - RN to educate the next generation of nurses at our Cabot location. The role centers on creating realistic simulation experiences to enhance clinical competence and patient safety.

The RN instructor will lead high-fidelity simulations, manage labs, and assess learner performance, while coordinating resources and developing curricula aligned with organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Current valid RN license (PA); BSN recommended.
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience in direct patient care.
• Experience with healthcare simulation or educational technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver simulation-based education for healthcare professionals across settings.
• Facilitates high-fidelity simulations, labs, and debriefing sessions with performance feedback.
• Operates simulators and educational software; coordinates resources for programs.
• Develops setup guides and tracks educational outcomes for improvement.
• Assists with participant recruitment and travels to training events; adapts content to diverse learners.

What you will do in the Clinical Nursing Instructor - Registered Nurse (RN):

The Clinical Nursing Instructor plays a vital role in supporting clinical education and workforce development by creating realistic healthcare simulation experiences that enhance clinical competence, confidence, and patient safety.

• Independently uses nursing knowledge and RN licensure to plan and deliver simulation-based education for healthcare professionals across various settings.
• Facilitates high-fidelity simulations, skills labs, and debriefing sessions based on best practices. Evaluates learner performance through observation and feedback to promote growth.
• Prepares and operates simulators and equipment, manages simulation software for realistic scenarios, and coordinates resources for educational programs.
• Develops setup guides, documentation, and tracks educational outcomes for continuous improvement.
• Assists with participant recruitment and travels to facilitate training events. Adapts content for diverse learners and develops curriculum and assessments aligned with organizational goals and standards.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives and supports research in simulation-based education.

The Clinical Nursing Instructor - Registered Nurse (RN) needs to have:

• Current valid Pennsylvania RN license: BSN recommended.
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience in direct patient care.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and insurance required.
• Experience with healthcare simulation, educational technology, audiovisual systems, healthcare equipment, or technical support preferred.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment and software.
• Knowledge of healthcare simulation technologies and clinical training equipment.
