Job summary

Grand Canyon University seeks Adjunct Clinical Nursing faculty to enrich nursing students’ education. This role requires travel within the Albuquerque, NM area to directly observe student performance during rotations.

You will reinforce didactic content, collaborate with faculty to evaluate progress toward clinical objectives, and participate in grading written and clinical performance check-offs. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s in Nursing with 3 years of mental health patient care

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Nursing with 3 years of direct patient care experience in mental health.
• MSN or higher is preferred but not required.
• Active NM or multi-state RN license required (compact).
• Ability to pass drug test and competency testing.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce didactic content, teaching the knowledge and skills needed for pre-licensure nursing
• Collaborate with content area faculty to provide expert evaluation and documentation of student progress toward clinical objectives
• Participate in grading written and clinical performance check-offs
• Remain current with new trends and development in the field of nursing practice
• Maintain compliance with requirements for program accreditation
• Uphold the tenets of nursing as a holistic profession and the pillars of the University
• Travel to GCU student sites, directly observing student performance
• Support the university program in all areas including alignment with the institution’s philosophy and mission and community service
• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission
