Job summary

UNC Health Nash is hiring a Registered Nurse for the NGH Operating Room. The position entails providing competent clinical nursing care aligned with professional standards and coordinating patient care in a structured team setting.

Reporting to the Nurse Manager/Director, the RN will participate in education, planning, and evidence-based practice while contributing to high-quality patient outcomes. This is a full-time, on-site role with a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
• BLS required on hire; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent clinical nursing care per professional standards.
• Coordinate and deliver patient care using the nursing process.
• Identify learning needs and participate in education programs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to evaluate and plan care.
• Develop and adjust plans of care with timely communication.
• Assist in discharge planning and safety for complex patients.
• Demonstrate leadership in goal setting and unit performance.
