Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Current RN license in Illinois; new grads must complete a BSN within three years of start date.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum of three years of clinical experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
• ACLS certification preferred, required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily unit activities and supervise staff on shift.
• Coordinate admission and discharge planning and assign tasks.
• Provide patient assessments, care planning, implementation and evaluation of care.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as ordered; monitor responses.
• Lead clinical response during emergencies and ensure patient/staff safety.
• Mentor staff and support ongoing education and professional development.
• Promote infection control and adherence to safety standards.
