Job summary

Resurrection Medical Center, part of Prime Healthcare, located in Chicago, IL, is seeking a Clinical Supervisor RN for our Observation Unit. This full-time day shift (6:30am–3:00pm) includes rotating weekends and entails leading a nursing team, ensuring quality care, and collaborating with unit leadership.

Required: active RN license in state, BLS/ACLS upon hire, BSN preferred, and 2+ years of clinical nursing with leadership experience.

Qualifications

Current and valid state Registered Nurse license.
Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire and maintain.
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification upon hire and maintain.
Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides administrative support for the department during the shift and collaborates with the unit Director/Manager.
Develops and implements department plans, including performance improvement activities and compliance with regulations.
Oversees orientation and training of personnel within the department.
Communicates effectively with staff, physicians, and administration in writing and verbally.
Ensures the quality of staff and department functions during the shift and directs operations of the unit as needed.
Performs direct patient care within the scope of practice when required and continually assesses care, guiding changes in the plan of care.
