Qualifications

• Current and valid state Registered Nurse license.
• Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support certificate (BLS) upon hire and maintain current.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports administrative responsibility for the department service functions and collaborates with the unit Director/Manager.
• May assume administrative scope in the absence of the unit Director/Manager.
• Develops and implements departmental plans, including performance improvement activities and regulatory compliance.
• Oversees orientation and training of personnel in the department.
• Communicates with staff, physicians, and administration in writing and verbally.
• Directs, supervise, and evaluate personnel; ensures proper use of time, equipment, and staff.
• Performs direct patient care as needed within scope of practice.
• Assesses care and guides staff to update the plan of care as needed.
