Job summary

Trinity Health's St. Joseph Mercy Oakland in Michigan is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to lead and collaborate with the care team, applying advanced nursing practice in Practice, Quality Improvement, Research, Education and Leadership.

The CNS will practice under ANA standards, participate in shared governance, and support magnet designation efforts while advancing patient safety and evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing required.
• RN licensure in Michigan at time of hire.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• CNS education/credential as preferred.
• Three years of clinical nursing practice in relevant areas.
• Educational experience as CNS or educator required.

Responsibilities

• Act as CNS and leader of the care team in practice and education.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and data interpretation.
• Provide mentorship to nurses, preceptors, and students.
• Support Magnet Hospital Program activities.
