Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, OH is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to lead expert care across patient Direct Care, Clinical Practice, and Organizations and Systems. You will mentor teams, apply evidence-based practice, and influence care across Medical-Surgical units with integrated PCU beds.

This regular, 40-hour First Shift role supports CNS scope and quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing with current RN licensure and APRN-CNS in Ohio.
• Master’s degree in nursing required; CNS certification required.
• DNP is preferred.
• Specialty certification is preferred.
• Ongoing: maintain Ohio RN and APRN licensure and credentialing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert care across health states, disease management, health promotion, and prevention for individuals, families, and communities.
• Mentor and support clinical staff to apply evidence-based practice.
• Influence organizational decisions and advocate for innovations to improve quality and cost-effectiveness.
