Qualifications

• BSN is required.
• Master's degree in Nursing with CNS specialization is required.
• Current RN license in Indiana or NLC with ability to practice as CNS in Indiana.
• 3–5 years of advanced clinical experience in medical-surgical or perioperative settings.
• BLS certification by AHA.
• Additional ALS certifications may be required by department policies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a clinical expert in medical-surgical nursing practices with advanced consultation for staff and leadership.
• Develop and facilitate educational programs to enhance staff competency and promote evidence-based practice.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and participate in research activities to improve patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize systems and processes that support safe, effective, patient-centered care.
• Provide mentorship and support to nursing staff, fostering professional development and clinical excellence.
