Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking experienced nurses and new RN graduates to join a large, supportive team across IU Health facilities. The Clinical Nurse – Resource role offers flexibility to cover multiple units and locations, emphasizing evidence-based care and collaborative practice.

This position requires an active RN license in Indiana (or NLC) and a nationally accredited nursing program. BLS is mandatory before orientation; BSN is preferred and experience across specialties is valued.

Qualifications

• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• RN license in Indiana or NLC RN license.
• Graduated from nationally accredited nursing program; 2+ years experience preferred.
• BLS certification must be obtained prior to orientation.
• ACLS or other advanced life support may be required per unit.

Responsibilities

• Float across IU Health facilities as part of the clinical nurse resource pool.
• Provide evidence-based care from assessment to evaluation.
• Participate in clinical decision-making, teaching, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Adapt to staffing needs across inpatient settings (med-surg, progressive care, CCU, ED, specialty units).
