Northwestern Memorial Hospital is hiring a Clinical Nurse to provide leadership in patient-focused care, coordinating diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for assigned patients.

The RN will collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, participate in teaching, mentoring, and evidence-based practice, and uphold professional standards with a focus on safety and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of NLN accredited school/college of nursing.
• BSN or higher nursing degree.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with keyboard entry and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Advocates for patient-centered care and develops individualized care plans.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team to advance patient goals.
• Mentors, precepts and supports unit staff and students.
• Participates in ongoing education and professional development.
• Ensures safe environment and effective handoffs at the bedside.
