Job summary

Northwestern Memorial Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse to provide clinically competent, evidence-based care for an assigned patient group. The RN will coordinate care, participate in decision-making, and mentor the multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have an NLN-accredited nursing education, a BSN or higher, IL RN license, and BLS certification, with strong communication and critical thinking skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN accredited school/college of nursing.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or higher.
• Current State of Illinois, Registered Professional Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR through American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for patient-centered care and develop an individualized nursing plan of care.
• Incorporates patient advocacy into the plan of care and uses a team approach to meet daily goals.
• Demonstrates clinical expertise and pursues continuing education opportunities.
• Shares knowledge with team members and educates patients and students.
• Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions and updates the care plan accordingly.
• Delivers handoffs with complete, timely information at the bedside.
