Job summary

Dayton Children's is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Perioperative Services III at the Main Campus. The role involves delivering professional nursing care, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, and ensuring a patient- and family-centered experience.

Full-time schedule (36 hours) with day shift and on-call requirements. Education: an Associate Degree in Nursing is required with a plan to obtain a BSN within 5 years.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in nursing required.
• Graduation from an accredited program of nursing.
• Dedication to acquire Bachelors of Science in Nursing within 5 years of hire.
• Registered Nursing license in State of Ohio
• CPR: Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation - required

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care using ANA and Ohio Board of Nursing standards.
• Interact with an interdisciplinary team to promote patient and family health.
• Deliver proficient nursing care based on a detailed patient/family assessment.
• Promote a patient- and family experience-oriented environment.
• Act as a change agent to meet census and needs of all customers.

Job Details: The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care using the standards of care and the standards of professional performance outlined by the American Nurses Association and the Ohio Board of Nursing. The RN interacts with an interdisciplinary team to promote the optimal health potential of the patient and family, delivering proficient nursing care based on a detailed assessment of the patient/family needs and the hospital mission. The RN promotes a patient and family experience-oriented environment and acts as a change agent to meet the rapidly changing census and needs of all customers-both internal and external.

Department Specific Job Details: Day shift, call is required, must reside within 30 hour from Main campus

Education: Associates degree in nursing required. Graduation from an accredited program of nursing. Dedication to acquire Bachelors of Science in Nursing within 5 years of hire.

Certification/Licensure: Registered Nursing license in State of Ohio CPR : Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation - required
