Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a Clinical Assistant Manager to advocate for nurses, allocate resources, promote safe, effective and compassionate care, and collaborate with the Clinical Manager on staffing, budgets and quality improvement.

You will lead evaluations, ensure staff competency, participate in councils, and drive performance improvement while aligning with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN strongly preferred.
• Commensurate combination of RN experience and nursing education may be considered in lieu of BSN upon hire.
• Minimum of two years in clinical nursing practice; one year leadership or charge role preferred.
• Current RN licensure in the state of employment; BLS certification required prior to patient contact.
• Certification in area of specialty required within 6 months of eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of PI Plan initiatives with Clinical Manager to improve outcomes.
• Provide staff with feedback, counseling, and discipline as appropriate; conduct performance evaluations.
• Ensure staff competencies and unit educator processes; orient new hires and float/agency staff.
• Participate in leadership meetings; collaborate with clinicians to ensure patient satisfaction targets are achieved.
• Coordinate nursing care with other disciplines and support regulatory compliance; contribute to quality improvement projects.
