Job summary

Medforce is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager to join a well‑established nursing home in County Clare. The role focuses on hands‑on clinical leadership, resident wellbeing and regulatory compliance within a supportive residential care environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Nursing and care team to ensure high standards of care, staff development and person‑centred practice. Leadership and hands‑on oversight are core to this role.

Qualifications

• BSc in General Nursing or equivalent qualification is required.
• Current registration with NMBI is required.
• Previous nursing home or elderly care experience preferred.
• Previous clinical leadership or management experience is desirable.
• Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on clinical leadership to nursing staff and care assistants.
• Ensure nursing and care practices meet high clinical and regulatory standards.
• Oversee resident assessments and develop/update care plans.
• Monitor residents with clinical concerns and escalate appropriately.
• Support staff training, development and performance reviews.
• Promote dignity, person‑centred care and teamwork.
