Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Clinical Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a single acute care unit. You will ensure high-quality nursing care through staffing practices, unit workflow standardization, and daily monitoring of patient experience and clinical indicators.

You will lead through nurse leaders, collaborate with interdisciplinary partners, and drive readiness, compliance, and continuous improvement within an 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• BSN required; MSN/Healthcare Admin preferred.
• Clinical Manager or acute care unit leadership experience.
• Licensed to practice nursing in South Carolina or compact licensure; BLS certification as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure unit operates reliably across shifts with clear workflows and rounding.
• Oversee daily staffing to maintain safe staffing and continuity of care.
• Lead unit engagement, coaching, and performance improvement with leadership support.
• Monitor patient experience and clinical quality indicators; drive action.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners to remove barriers to safe, timely care.
• Ensure compliance with nursing policies, regulatory requirements, and readiness activities.
