Job description

The Clinical Nurse Manager – Pediatricsis responsible for coordinating and supervising the delivery of high-qualityresident care within the pediatric unit. This role includes the recommendation,development, and implementation of nursing policies and procedures, whileensuring that the unit operates efficiently and complies with best practices.As a key leader, the Nurse Manager collaborates closely with clinical staff andthe interdisciplinary team to promote optimal patient outcomes and a positiveteam culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direction fordaily operations on the pediatric unit.
• Coordinate staffing, patientassignments, and clinical workflows to ensure safe and effective care.
• Collaborate with theinterdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans for pediatricresidents.
• Participate in the development andenforcement of unit policies and procedures.
• Promote professional development andcontinuing education for nursing staff.
• Monitor quality metrics andimplement performance improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatorystandards and institutional policies.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited RegisteredNurse (RN) program – required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) –required
• Pediatric nursing experience in anacute or long-term care setting – preferred
• Prior experience in a Nurse Manageror supervisory role – preferred
• Ventilator care experience –preferred
• Current New York State RN license –required
• Basic Life Support (BLS)certification – required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support(PALS) – preferred
