Job description

Seeking a Clinical Pediatric NurseManager in Brooklyn NY to play a vital leadership role in coordinating thedelivery of high-quality care to pediatric residents and patients. Thisposition is responsible for developing and implementing unit-specific policiesand procedures, fostering a supportive and collaborative care environment, andmaintaining day-to-day operational excellence in partnership with staff and theinterdisciplinary team. The Nurse Manager is accountable for ensuring clinicalcompetency, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across the pediatricunit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of thepediatric unit, ensuring safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care.
• Coordinate nursing care and managestaffing, scheduling, and performance oversight for nursing personnel.
• Collaborate with physicians andinterdisciplinary team members to meet the complex needs of pediatricpatients.
• Develop, implement, and evaluatepolicies and procedures specific to pediatric care delivery.
• Support continuous staff education,clinical development, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with state andfederal regulations, infection control, and safety standards.
• Serve as a clinical resource andmentor to nursing staff while promoting a culture of excellence andaccountability.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited RN program– required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) –required

• Pediatric experience in an acute orlong-term care setting – preferred
• Previous experience as a NurseManager or in a supervisory role – preferred
• Ventilator care experience –preferred

• Current New York State RN license –required
• Basic Life Support (BLS)certification – required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support(PALS) certification – preferred
