Job summary

Tampa General Hospital-Citrus is seeking an RN Nurse Leader for the Crystal River area. This role supervises unit operations, mentors staff, and ensures care aligns with standards and policies. The incumbent will support recruitment, scheduling, and daily clinical workflow on site.

Required are an RN license in Florida (or compact state), an Associate's Degree in Nursing, and 3 years RN plus 2 years supervisory experience. Certifications in BLS/ACLS/PALS and NIH Stroke Scale are expected.

Job description

Provides clinical and administrative support to unit staff caring for patients, under the supervision of the senior nurse manager or director. Provides nursing care on assigned unit per established standards, policies, and professional guidelines. Supports daily clinical operations, quality/safety initiatives, patient experience, and financial management. Assists with interviews, hiring decisions, work assignments, and employee evaluations. Performs all duties in alignment with Tampa General Hospital's mission, vision, and values.

Essential Functions

• Assisting the Sr Nurse Manager/Director in overseeing daily operations of nursing unit or department.
• Providing guidance and support to nursing staff, including mentoring and coaching.
• Ensuring adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care.
• Participating in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of nursing staff.
• Assisting with staff scheduling and ensuring adequate coverage.
• Nurse Leader rounding on both patients and team members.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Monitoring patient outcomes and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
• Serving as a resource for nursing staff regarding clinical questions and concerns.

Education

Certification

• Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association And
• Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association And

• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale

Work Experience And Additional Information

• Three (3) years of experience as a Clinical Nurse (RN).
• Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
