Job summary

Hospital for Special Care seeks a Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) to provide clinical leadership at the point of care for a defined patient population. The CNL mentors staff, coordinates complex care, and serves as the wound care expert to improve skin integrity.

The role collaborates with the Assistant Nurse Manager and Center for Nursing Excellence, leads quality improvement efforts, drives evidence-based practice, and ensures safe staffing and efficient unit operations within Satellite Units.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Clinical nursing experience with interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Active RN license in CT or NLC allowing CT practice.
• Wound care certification preferred; obtain within six months if not certified.
• Strong communication and leadership at the point of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and advisement to nursing staff.
• Coordinate care and oversee wound care and skin integrity.
• Lead unit-level wound care quality initiatives and outcomes monitoring.
• Assist with staffing and scheduling as needed to ensure safe coverage.
• Promote evidence-based practice and patient safety across shifts.
