Hebrew SeniorLife is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to oversee clinical operations on nursing floors in the absence of leadership. The role requires an MA-licensed RN, a bachelor's in nursing, and preferred geriatrics or nursing administration certification.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Massachusetts RN license is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and ANA geriatrics or nursing administration certifications preferred.
• Minimum of five years supervisory experience in a clinical setting.
• ACLS/BLS certification required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise clinical operations on nursing floors in the absence of the Nurse Manager/DON.
• Communicate with patients, families, and health professionals with respect and sensitivity.
• Make clinical rounds to ensure nursing care is provided appropriately.
• Support nurses in expediting medical interventions for status changes.
• Ensure safety and security measures for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Adjust staffing and scheduling to meet immediate needs and resolve problems.
• Collaborate with Nurse Managers/DONs on staffing, reviews, and corrective actions.
• Participate in Quality Improvement and education programs.
