Job summary

UnityPoint Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse Leader to support frontline teams and leadership in two inpatient departments, coordinating nursing practice excellence, policy, education, and competency in alignment with the organization’s strategy.

You will precept and assign patient care as needed, lead evidence-based practice projects, and collaborate with physicians and care teams to improve patient outcomes, with opportunities for professional growth and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program—BSN required (RN-BSN or RN-MSN considered).
• Minimum of three years of clinical nursing experience.
• Preceptor and/or charge RN experience.
• Current RN licensure in Iowa or a compact state.
• Current BLS certification.
• Fluent in English (speaks, reads, writes).
• Multicultural sensitivity and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates implementation of evidence-based practice and translates findings into nursing care.
• Partners with physicians and care teams to achieve quality metrics.
• Maintains current knowledge of trends in nursing practice.
• Collaborates with leaders to support department and hospital initiatives.
• Provides leadership and support during patient care crises.
• Engages staff in change management and performance improvement.
• Serves as a resource for onboarding and professional development.
