Job summary

UnityPoint Health in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Nursing Leader to supervise day-to-day unit operations, support and develop staff, and provide holistic patient care aligned with quality and safety standards. This role emphasizes clinical leadership, budgeting, and interdepartmental collaboration within the Maternal/Nursing department.

The successful candidate will have a BSN (preferred) or equivalent, at least one year of RN experience, Iowa RN license, CPR/BCLS, and a commitment to staff

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree. BSN preferred.
• Experience: One year experience as a registered nurse.
• Licenses/Certifications: Iowa RN license, BCLS/CPR, valid driver's license for work.
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Effective communication, multicultural sensitivity, customer/patient focus, critical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Integrates UnityPoint Health nursing expectations of performance in all aspects of care delivery.
• Manages daily operations of patient care within budget guidelines.
• Provides clinical leadership by directing, coordinating and delegating patient care.
• Acts as a liaison promoting effective multidisciplinary teamwork.
• Collaborates with physicians and health care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Ensures compliance with laws and regulations affecting patient care.
