Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN-accredited school/college of nursing.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR by American Heart Association.
• Analytic ability and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication skills (oral, listening and written).
• Good interpersonal and team collaboration abilities.
• Proficiency with keyboard data entry.

Responsibilities

• Advocate: Practices in accordance with the patient-centered care model.
• Develops an individualized age-specific culturally sensitive nursing plan of care.
• Incorporates the role of patient advocate into the plan of care.
• Uses a team approach to achieve daily patient-centered goals.
• Protects patient rights and maintains a safe environment.
• Clinical Expert: pursues continuing education and specialty certification when eligible.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to advance the patient plan of care.
