The position requires graduation from a nursing program, NC RN licensure, BLS certification, and at least one year of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
• One (1) year of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Education - Participates in identifying and meeting learning needs of self.
• Evaluation of Care - Identifies expected patient outcomes and participates in revision of plan of care.
• Implementation - Demonstrates competence in care of patients with complex problems and organizes and prioritizes care.
• Leadership - Supports unit goals and promotes interdepartmental collaboration.
• Patient Assessment - Recognizes data from complex situations to determine priorities for care.
• Planning - Collaborates with patient/family to prepare or update the plan of care.
• Research - Reads journals and brings ideas to the staff for assessment.
