Job summary

The Marion VA Health Care System is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to serve as the Clinical Nurse Educator within Education Services located in Marion - IL. The Clinical Nurse Educator delivers education, leads BLS/ACLS training, and supports residency programs to improve patient care and outcomes.

Qualified candidates will have a nursing degree from an accredited program, US RN licensure, and experience in education/leadership.

Qualifications

English language proficiency required for direct patient care.
Graduate of a nursing program approved by ACEN or CCNE.
Current state license as a professional nurse in the United States.
Eligible for temporary appointment upon bridge program and licensure.
Foreign nursing graduates must have current, full, active US registration.

Responsibilities

Deliver and coordinate evidence-based staff education and competency assessments.
Lead BLS/ACLS training, compliance monitoring, and mock code activities.
Support nurse residency programs through simulations and teaching methods.
Promote evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and policy updates.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and participate in system-wide initiatives.
Maintain accreditation readiness, safety, infection control, and emergency preparedness.
