Job summary
The Marion VA Health Care System, part of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to serve as the Clinical Residency Coordinator within Education Services in Marion, IL.
This role leads the RN Transition to Practice and Post-Baccalaureate RN Residency programs, coordinating evidence-based educational initiatives and training for clinical staff. The incumbent collaborates with leadership, interdisciplinary teams, and academic partners to strengthen staff
Qualifications
- English proficiency required per VA policy.
- Nurse licensure and education as per VA qualification standards.
- Bridge program candidates may be eligible to become RN prior to completion.
- Foreign-educated nurses require degree equivalency validation.
Responsibilities
- Lead and evaluate all aspects of the Nurse Residency programs.
- Coordinate educational initiatives for clinical staff.
- Conduct learning needs assessments and design training.
- Oversee scholarship and academic affiliation programs.
- Collaborate with leadership and academic partners to support nurse residents.
