Job summary

Samaritan Medical Center seeks a Clinical Nurse Educator to develop and deliver education for nursing staff and coordinate training programs on clinical practices at our site in New York. The role focuses on improving patient care through evidence-based teaching and performance improvement.

The position requires a BSN with education focus, an MSN preferred, at least three years of clinical experience, a New York RN license, and BLS at hire. Six Sigma Green Belt within two years is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, education; master’s in Nursing/Education required.
• Three years of clinical experience required.
• Experience in supervision, curriculum development and instructional design desired.
• Knowledge of adult education principles, learner-centered training, needs assessment and performance evaluation.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Must be licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
• Basic Life Support certification required at time of hire.
• Six Sigma Greenbelt certification within 2 years of hire.
