Job summary

Elderwood at Liverpool seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to blend clinical education with active nursing practice as RN Educator of Clinical Education and Practice.

Lead new-hire orientation, competency validation, IV/BLS certification programs, and ongoing in‑service education, while remaining clinically active on the unit to model best practices.

You’ll coach nurses and CNAs, partner with nursing leadership, and advance resident care through education tied to everyday workflows.

Qualifications

• Current NY Registered Nurse license.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a long-term care facility.
• Experience delivering in‑service education or clinical teaching.
• Clinical confidence in medication administration, treatments, assessment, and documentation.
• Ability to teach, coach, and communicate with staff at varying levels.
• Willingness to accept resident assignments as cart nurse when needed.
• Proficiency with EMR and LMS platforms.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead new-hire orientation and onboarding activities.
• Coordinate nursing education, competency testing, and nurse preceptors.
• Deliver in‑service education and IV/BLS certification programs.
• Maintain clinical presence by accepting cart-nurse assignments.
• Coach nurses and CNAs in real-work settings and document outcomes.
