Job summary

HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinate unit activities during the assigned shift. You will direct and monitor nursing care, serve as a resource for staff, and embody the organization’s values to support exceptional patient outcomes.

You will lead admissions/discharges, assess care quality with the team, and collaborate to create a teamwork-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse or appropriate compact licensure.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum one year ER RN experience.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Current ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Current PALS/ENPC certifications required within 6 months of hire.
• Current NIHSS and TNCC certifications required within 6 months of hire.
• CPI training required within 6 months.
• National Board Certification (CEN or CPEN) highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admission and discharge processes for efficient throughput and high quality care.
• Participate in ongoing assessment of nursing care quality with management.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and managers to foster teamwork and better outcomes.
• Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when needed.
• Operationalize nursing strategies to improve engagement (rounding, hourly rounds, etc.).
• Provide recommendations on interviewing, hiring, and staff development; support performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Assist with staff scheduling and labor management based on patient care needs.
• Support inventory control and help manage supplies and equipment.
