Job summary

HCA HealthONE Sky Ridge in Colorado is seeking an experienced Operating Room Clinical Nurse Coordinator (Charge RN) to lead an interdisciplinary OR team. You will supervise staff, coordinate patient care, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards across the OR schedule and procedures.

Ideal candidates hold an active Colorado RN license, BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications, with 2 years of acute care OR RN experience and prior charge nurse responsibilities. BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Colorado RN license or multi-state license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and PALS certifications required
• BSN preferred
• Two (2) years acute care OR RN experience
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all functions in the OR department on designated shifts
• Supervise staff, perform evaluations, coaching and day-to-day supervision
• Ensure department compliance with state, federal, and healthcare regulatory agencies
• Collaborate with surgical teams to prepare procedures and verify OR schedule
• Verify accuracy of preference cards and optimize OR flow

Job Summary and Qualifications

Here is some of what you can expect from being anOR Clinical Nurse Coordinator (ChargeRN)with us:

• As an operating room (OR) Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) you willdemonstrateskills as a resource person and liaison between the specialty team members, other staff members, surgeons, and vendors.
• You will assist with the overall management of patient care in the OR,supervisesall staff, assists with performance evaluations, counseling and coaching of staff, hiring, and day to day operational supervision.
• You willbe responsible forensuring department compliance with state, federal, and healthcare regulatory agencies.
• You will work closely with other Clinical Nurse Coordinators (CNCs) to ensure that surgical procedures performed by specialty team members or other surgery staff members are thoroughly prepared prior to surgery.
• The Clinical Nurse Coordinator verifies the accuracy of preference cards and the OR schedule.
• The Clinical Nurse Coordinator works closely with the surgery schedulers to streamline and verify the flow of the OR schedule.

What qualifications you will need:

• Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multi-state Registered Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• ACLS and PALS certification.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.BSN preferred.
• Two (2) years of acute careexperience as anOperating Room (OR) RN.
• Previouscharge nurse/service coordinator experience.
