Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator in Evanston. The role advances unit efficiency, coordinates staff, and supports patient throughput while reporting to the Unit Manager.

The incumbent will guide nursing staff, coordinate admissions and transfers, and ensure safe, timely care with strong clinical oversight. Experience as a staff nurse and an Illinois RN license are required or preferred, with a bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse; BSN preferred
• Two years of Staff Nurse experience
• Strong clinical skills and teaching ability
• CPR certification and Illinois RN licensure

Responsibilities

• Facilitate unit functioning and act as a resource to staff
• Coordinate, delegate and communicate on clinical and operational issues
• Ensure adequate coverage based on census and patient acuity
• Manage bed placement, discharges, and admissions with physicians
• Participate in performance evaluations and department staffing
• Provide orientation and feedback to agency personnel
• Lead rapid response and stroke team collaborations
• Oversee unit assignments and ensure patient safety
