Endeavor Health in Evanston, IL is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to lead nursing operations on a busy unit. You will supervise staff, coordinate admissions and transfers, and ensure patient care meets quality standards while collaborating with physicians and other departments.

The role requires an Illinois RN license, Bachelor’s preferred, and 2 years as a Staff Nurse, with strong communication and clinical skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing, with a Bachelor of Nursing preferred.
• Two (2) years experience as a Staff Nurse.
• Clinical nursing skills, effective communication, teaching and motivational skills.
• Specialty Board Certification within 2 years of promotion
• Current license as a Registered Nurse in Illinois.
• Certification in area of expertise preferred.
• American Heart Association CPR Certification

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, delegate, communicate and think critically on clinical and operational issues; report to Unit Manager.
• Function as a resource to nursing staff and medical staff.
• Collaborate with admitting, Bed Coordinator, and Supervisor for timely admissions and transfers.
• Make rounds on patients and monitor condition changes.
• Facilitate bed control and timely discharges with physicians.
• Participate in Nursing DIG Committee to improve patient throughput.
• Ensure adequate unit coverage based on census and RN: patient ratio.
• Plan unit assignments and delegate tasks to nursing and non-professional staff.
• Provide feedback and participate in staff evaluations and orientation.
• Act as a member of Rapid Response and Stroke Team protocols.
