Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to lead nursing care and unit operations on designated shifts. You will collaborate with management to direct, monitor, and improve patient care outcomes and staff performance.

The CNC will drive admission/discharge processes, ensure high-quality care, and mentor staff while supporting hospital initiatives and policies. A BSN/ASN and active RN license are required with BLS within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• An Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Monitor and evaluate nursing care quality in collaboration with management.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to create a teamwork-focused environment for improved outcomes.
• Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when needed.
• Assist with nursing strategies like employee rounding and hourly rounds to boost engagement.
• Provide guidance on interviewing, selecting, and training staff, and support performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Support staff scheduling and manage labor in line with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Assist with inventory control and management of supplies and equipment.
