Job summary

Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC, seeks a Nurse Manager to oversee a patient care area around the clock, ensuring high-quality clinical care and adherence to policies. The ideal candidate will have a BSN, an MS in Nursing preferred, at least 3 years of nursing experience, and 1 year of clinical leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
• Master's degree in Nursing is strongly preferred.
• Three years of nursing experience is required; PACU experience highly preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical leadership experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise functions of assigned patient care area on a 24 hour basis; ensure delivery of clinical patient care and compliance with policies.
• Develop and implement clinical and operational plans; support professional practice and staff development.
• Coordinate staffing, budget, and resources; ensure documentation and compliance with hospital policies.
