Job summary

Centers Laboratory is seeking a Molecular Technologist to perform comprehensive clinical molecular testing in a fast-paced laboratory. The role requires careful pipetting, data evaluation, quality control, and collaboration with supervision to implement new technologies and SOPs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related field required.
• MT ASCP preferred.
• Experience with molecular techniques (PCR, sequencing) and QA/QC procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate specimens and organize workflow for testing efficiency and turnaround time.
• Extract, denature and purify DNA from various specimens.
• Perform PCR, hybridization, and sequencing methods.
• Maintain QA/QC procedures and verify performance of clinical assays.
• Assist with SOPs and training, and ensure regulatory compliance.
